Our first-class Hockey Pitch is proud to serve as the home of Oxted Hockey Club, a distinguished National Premier Division team. The club recently enjoyed its most successful season to date in 2024/25, narrowly missing out on qualification for European competition. Hosting a team of this calibre not only reflects the quality of our facilities but also provides inspiration and aspiration for all those who take part in Hockey at Caterham school.

Welcome Nick Page!

Nick Page is the Hockey Academy Manager at the Caterham School Sports Centre and brings extensive playing and coaching experience to the programme. He previously worked as a Hockey Professional at Tormead School and began playing hockey at age seven, later becoming a sports scholar at Loughborough University where he won two BUCS gold medals and earned Loughborough Sport Colours. At club level he played for Old Georgians Hockey Club, helping the team win two Premier League titles and the England Hockey Cup between 2020 and 2023. Internationally, he has represented Ireland men’s national field hockey team 67 times, competing in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, the FIH Pro League, and winning a silver medal at the Nations Cup in 2022. At Caterham he aims to develop players of all abilities through a supportive programme that builds confidence, enjoyment and long-term hockey development.

The academy has three development strands:

Performance  on Thursday evenings at Caterham School for Year 7+, is the highest level, providing more intense training focused on advanced skills, tactical understanding and performing under pressure.

Pathway – held at Caterham School on Tuesday evenings for Years 3-7, develops players’ technical ability while introducing positional play, tactics and decision-making through game-based practice.

Core – delivered at Copthorne Prep School on Wednesday evenings, introduces younger players to hockey in a fun and supportive environment while building basic stick and ball skills.

PERFORMANCE ACADEMY - SCHOOL YEARS 7+
